PerfectRip guarantees optimal full or partial content extraction by making proper use of the C2 pointer technology inside your optical drive. You can be sure images and tracks are free from errors, or use an error report at post-processing stage to mute, hold or average (linear interpolation) corrupt samples.

PerfectRip generates disc images fully compatible with SlySoft CloneCD and Golden Hawk Technology CDRWin, and extracts tracks in PCM, WAV, WAV+G and 2448 formats. PerfectRip is compatible with 100b (Plextor) subcode reading, this makes use of Reed-Solomon EDC/ECC so your R-W subchannels are always free from random errors.

PerfectRip makes use of subcode reading from your drive to accurately detect gaps and lets you decide if you want them apart or appended to previous or next track. PerfectRip gets the most of your drive with main channel and C2 report manual offset correction and subchannel automatic offset correction.

PerfectRip also features automatic main, C2 and sub ordering and MSB/LSB switching to point 1st byte of main channel. PerfectRip properly reads and images MCN (UPC/EAN), ISRC and CD-TEXT. PerfectRip lets you tweak copyright flags, SCMS included.

Here’s what each control does:

IMAGE/TRACK SELECTION:

These checkboxes allow you to obtain CDRWin images (cdr and cdg), CloneCD images (ccd) and separate tracks.

SUBCHANNEL READING:

There are three subchannel reading modes: 000b for no subchannel returning, 001b for raw deinterleaved subchannel, and 100b for packed subchannels R-W.000b option is disabled when user selects cdg or ccd images.

GAP APPENDING MODE:

This setting allows you to append the gaps to none, previous or next track. Append to previous is locked when 000b subchannel reading is set or when less than all tracks are selected. Appending to none and next track are available only when all tracks and 001b or 100b subs reading are selected.

OUTPUT TRACK FORMAT:

You can select one of four track formats: PCM headerless file, WAV, WAV+G and 2448 CD+G tracks. Graphics modes are not available when 00b subchannel reading is set. This setting is only available when at least a track is selected.

COPYRIGHT TWEAKING:

Here you can select between no flag, DCP and SCMS. PerfectRip recalculates subcode CRCs for any setting.

MAIN CHANNEL OFFSET CORRECTION:

This field allows you to compensate for as many samples or bytes as your drive deviates from the absolute reference when reading and writing.

SUBCHANNEL OFFSET CORRECTION:

This setting can manually or automatically compensate for the skew in sub- channel for data CDs.

C2 REPORT OFFSET CORRECTION:

You can compensate for shiftings in reading of C2 pointers here.

C2 MSB/LSB ORDER:

Here you can specify which end of the pointer byte points to first byte of main channel.

MAIN, SUB, C2 READ ORDER:

Here you can specify or autodetect if your drive reports Sub and C2 or C2 and Sub.

LENGTH PER READ COMMAND:

Here you can specify if you want your drive to read sector by sector or in bursts.
